paintings - january 0712

Been working on a new series of paintings for a show this March.

What I really like is that not just the artists are going to participate, but engineers and the head of the studio.

This should be a nice turn out with lots of different art styles.

There's going to be photography, digital imagines, sculptures, drawings, as well as paintings.

As the oraginazer of this event, it is only natural that I want everything to go smoothly, and that everyone had a lot of fun doing this.

So I am nervous.

My biggest fear is that people will bale at the last minute and there's not going to be enough pieces to hang on the wall for the opening reception.

That would make me sad...fail

That's why I'm being an ass and bugging everyone, in a polite manner, of course, hahaha(nervous laugh)

I'm going to be sending emails about every two or so weeks until the last week before the hanging.

But I don't think I need to worry, because after talking to some of the people this week, there seems to be enough work going to to fill the gallery space.

As to my own pieces;

I think they're all coming along nicely...well, except for two that I'm not really getting a feeling for - that's gota change soon, sigh.
